Ethan's little personality really is something else. As you can tell in these pictures, only Jenny can keep the wraps on him. Perhaps it is the sunglasses that turn him into a natural disaster at times. Perhaps it is the adorable smile that gets you to look away for one second and then...BAM! Kaboom!...there goes something valuable. Either way, it is exciting to have two boys with two very different personalities. Jenny is an amazing mom, as she has the patience required to instill in each of our boys trust, love, and compassion for each other...albeit very small doses at times. Warmer weather makes things fun, as we can get out in the yard and play together! Ready...set...hike...watch out mom, here come all the boys to tackle you! Wahoo!

Spring?!

We started planting our garden for this year. On Saturday we had a fun day outside planting and playing in the dirt, the boys especially loved that along with the hundreds of worms we found (not to mention that Ethan kept trying to eat the worms!) It was a bit cold, but we had a good time. This weather is driving me crazy, 70 one day and snowing the next!!! Could you make up your mind and be spring already, it is the middle of April you know!!

Happy Birthday Brockster!

A little late, but needed to post a big I LOVE YOU to my Brockster! He is now a big 3 year old! He is my little buddy who makes me smile and laugh every day with all the little things he says and learning, and especially his knock knock jokes. He loves playing with his daddy, loves his bike, playing outside and hanging out with his best buddies Carson and Dylan. He loves playing soccer and is so excited that he is now old enough to play on a team with his buddy Zander. He is such a big help around the house, helps emptying the dishwasher, taking out the garbage, doing the laundry, he loves to help clean and vacuum. He loves to help cook, especially when it is cookies. He loves playing with his little brother, most of the time :) He LOVES cars and trucks, playing with his Lego's and tools. We love you BROCK!!!!!

Go Tyler!!!!

I am so proud of Tyler. He has his first BIG game today. As a side hobby he has followed his dad's footsteps in becoming a National Referee. This weekend he flew out to Dallas to ref the FC Dallas VS Brazil game, so this will be his first big National, well I guess internationl because they are playing Brazil, as the first official referee. Happy Valentines Day Jenny:

We have enjoyed many, many years of boisterous laughter, difficult decisions, and heartfelt compassion for each other. Some of my favorite memories of us are the times spent hiking in the canyons, running, shopping, all the time imaging where we would be in ten years, knowing that as long as we can preserve the feeling we had at that moment, nothing else mattered, it would all work out. We have the opportunity now to be parents of two young boys, who were given to us in impossible circumstances, showing them how to love someone as much as we love each other. I know they have experienced the unbridled endless compassion you are able to provide those you are around.
Jenny, there is no one in the world that means more to me than you. Tell me all your dreams, say exactly how you fee, lock the world outside, know that we are real, we will last forever. I promised to you forever, but have forgotten that each moment is all I wanted, all I want, all I need to remember, to make it another day.

Not having a good day

A couple weeks ago I had to take Ethan to the doctors office, just not feeling well. And lets just say he ended up feeling a lot worse, I am sure. We ended up having to get his blood drawn, and I swear we were sitting there for over 20 minutes, me holding him down and them trying so hard to get just 2 vials of blood. Lets just say it was not the best experience for the poor little guy.

Cakes...Cakes...Cakes....

I am really enjoying my cake class. Here is the latest and greatest (greatest...questionable?). I know, I know, you are all wondering when you can start putting in orders for wedding and birthday cakes! Okay, I might be getting a little ahead of myself, but I am having a blast, and hey who knows may be you'll see my on the next episode of Ace of Cakes!

This is one of the "favorite" toys of Brock's. He gets pretty creative when he is putting them all together. He has 2 big and 2 small potato heads, so he makes mom, dad, Brock and Ethan. And for some reason, I always get stuck with the monkey nose! He did a great job with Ethan's, the purple shoes and elephant nose, and don't you just love the glasses and mustache for Brock?

Don't Laugh

Okay everyone, this is my first cake. I am still trying to work on my frosting consistency, so the chocolate frosting did not set up very well. Okay, I need more practice, okay, okay, I need a lot of practice. At least the stars and dots were pretty cute!?

Best Buds

Brock and Ethan were watching a movie together. It was the cutest thing ever. It was a movie with farm animals, so Brock was telling Ethan what the names of all the animals were. Ethan just watched and listened. So cute. Brock is so good with Ethan. They are best buds!

Go REAL!!!

We took the boys to the REAL Playoff game against Chivas! It was lots of fun. It was a really exciting game with a win for REAL, the winning and only goal scored in the 90th minute! GO REAL!

What a little Stud!

As I was getting Brock dressed for Church I was realizing how big he is getting, he is growing up so fast! He is such a little stud, and so HANDSOME!!!!!

Canning!

So I have been tapping into the canning world. I canned Strawberry jam, well lets clearify, in some batches strawberry syrup (but still super yummy on pancakes!) I also canned pears! I know, I know, I am becoming very daring!

Snow - Snow - Snow

Today was our first big snow storm! The boys and I bundled up, went outside to scrape the driveway and play in the snow. This was Ethans first encounter with snow, and at first was not too sure about it, but then loved it. We had so much fun!

My New Thing~

So, I started a new class last night and I am going to love it! Cake Decorating! It is going to be so fun. I am not sure how good I will be at it. But it will give me another creative outlet during those nights with no husband during busy season. So, all you who like cake, here is your chance to get some free practice cake!
